The Department of Roads and Transport is excited to announce its Internship Opportunities for the 2024/2025 period, designed to offer recent graduates an invaluable entry point into the field of public transport and infrastructure management. This initiative provides a comprehensive platform for South African graduates to gain hands-on experience, develop professional skills, and contribute to essential projects that impact the community and the country’s transportation network.

General Requirements

  • Applicants must be South African citizens,
  • Applicants must be unemployed graduates,
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18-35,
  • Applicants not have been exposed to an internship programme within the Republic of South Africa before.

Internship Location: Gauteng, South Africa


Package : Monthly Stipend R5920.62 – R7620.68. Successful applicants will be expected to enter into a twenty-four (24) months contract.

Supply chain management

Requirements

  • A National Diploma/ Degree in Accounting, B Com Accounting / Finance or B. Compt. Applicants must be South African, unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35 and should not have been exposed to an internship programme before.

 Compliance and Registration

Requirements

  • N6/ND/Degree: Office Management/Administration/Public Admin/Law/Governance. Applicants must be South African, unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35 and should not have been exposed to an internship programme before.

Transport Policy & Inter-Government Relations (IGR)

Requirements

  • ND/Degree: ND/Degree: Policy/Public Administration/Governance/Law/Public Management/ Transport Management. Applicants must be South African, Unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35, and should not have participated in any other Internship programme within the Republic of South Africa.

 Information Technology Systems

Requirements

  • N.D/Degree: Information Technology (Helpdesk/Application Development/Business Analysis/Systems Analysis). Applicants must be South African, Unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35, and should not have participated in any other Internship programme within the Republic of South Africa.

 Enatis and Revenue Management

Requirements

  • National Diploman/Degree in Financial Accounting. Applicants must be South African, Unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35, and should not have participated in any other Internship programme within the Republic of South Africa.

Provincial Registering Authority

Requirements

  • ND/Degree: Public Management/Administration. Applicants must be South African, unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35 and should not have been exposed to an internship programme before.  Risk & Compliance Management

Requirements

  • ND/Degree in Criminal Justice/Forensic Science/ Auditing/Risk Management/Internal Auditing

 Motor Vehicle Registration & Licensing

Requirements

  • N6/ND/Degree: Office Management/Administration/Public Admin/Management Assistant. Applicants must be South African, unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35 and should not have been exposed to an internship programme before.

 Financial Accounting

Requirements

  • A National Diploma/ Degree in Accounting, B Com Accounting / Finance or B. Compt. Must be between the age of 18-35.

Organizational development 

Requirements

  • National Diploma / Degree in Management Services, Operations Management/, Production Management. Applicants must be South African, unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35 and should not have been exposed to an internship programme before.

 Human Resources Administration

Requirements

  • National Diploma / Degree in Human Resource Management, ND. HRM, B.A (HRM), B.Comm (HRM). Must be between the age of 18 – 35.

Asset Management

Requirements

  • A National Diploma/ Degree in Accounting, BCom Accounting / Finance, B. Compt. Applicants must be South African, unemployed graduates between the ages of 18-35 and should not have been exposed to an internship programme before.
